The canal decides
your route

Lido di Spina is the southernmost of the seven lidi. The harbour canal at Porto Garibaldi cuts the coast in two: from the south you come straight down, from the north you don't. By car you loop inland along the Romea trunk road; on foot or by bike you cross on the ferry. Know that, and you won't go wrong.
